Solo exhibition of paintings by Svetla Koseva

From June 20th, 2014 Art Gallery Largo will present "Whiff of Wings" - a painting exhibition from Svetla Koseva. This artist is known for her impressionistic style of painting. Her works are filled with light and birds. In this exhibition we will discover Svetla’s favourite characters - lonely figures on wet plazas; couples, entwined in the rhythm of a tango, or kissing under the evening lights. The birds, that inhabit the skies above the seaside town, are protagonists in her paintings - gulls, seagulls and pigeons, are everywhere in the plazas, the rooftops and in the air. Their wings emulate the light; if you listen, you will hear the sound of their flight; if you close your eyes, you will feel the whiff of their wings ... The exhibition will run until 10th July.
About the Artist:
Svetla Koseva was born on 5th August 1970 in Varna and graduated the School of Fine Arts "Tsanko Lavrenov" in Plovdiv. She’s had over 15 solo exhibitions in London, Varna, Plovdiv and Sofia. In 2008, Svetla was nominated to participate in the National Exhibition of Allianz-Bulgaria for paintings. Her works are part of conventional, national and international exhibitions in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, Gabrovo, Sevlievo and London. Svetla lives and works in Varna.
