Jochen Kublik was born in Bottrop, Germany in 1962. He studied at the Münster Polytechnic, where he won scholarships from the Aldegrever Foundation for creative stays in Oslo, Norway (1988) and Lofoten Islands, Norway (1990) and where he graduated in 1990 with a degree in Design. He works in the field of graphics, exlibris and drawing. Since 2009, Kublik has been a member of the German Exlibris Association. Received several invitations to work in China: workshop at TEDA Museum, Tianjin (2015), residencies at Guanlan Print Studio, Shenzhen (2017) and Wenbo Gallery, Dalian (2018). Since 1988, Kublik has had numerous solo exhibitions in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Italy and China, where from 2011 to today he has had 10 solo exhibitions in Tianjin, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, etc. Jochen Kublik has various international awards in the field of graphics and bookplates, some of which are: first prize (2009) and second prize (2010) in the bookplate competition of the German Bookplate Association, first prize in the bookplate competition of ZiAn Gallery, Beijing, China (2012 ), Honorable Mention in FISAE bookplate competition in Turku, Finland (2012). He lives and works in Altenberge, Germany.
