Kalina Atanasova

Kalina Atanasova was born in 1941. She is a member of the Society of Plovdiv Artists and of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. She has participated in many regional, national and international exhibitions, as well as in the International Biennial of Satirical Painting in Gabrovo, House of Humor and Satire. She has had over 25 solo exhibitions. Her paintings are located in private collections and galleries in Tokyo, Gekoso Gallery, Russia, Italy, Canada, USA, Germany, Greece, Spain, England, Ethiopia, Plovdiv City Gallery, Gabrovo City Gallery, House of Humor and Satire- Gabrovo, Old Plovdiv and many private collections. Her work is dedicated entirely to Plovdiv and the people in it from another time, the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century - a time shrouded in romance, elegance, a vague mystique, which is especially attractive to the more sensitive contemporary audience. She lives and works in Plovdiv.
