Nelly Tsenova was born on August 25, 1961 in Plovdiv. She graduated from the first class of the Plovdiv Art High School, and then the National Academy of Arts - Sofia with a degree in artistic textiles. She has over 10 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions, together with her husband Valeri Tsenov and with the extremely strong artistic group of Plovdiv artists. Tsenova uses reality as a means of expression, so her style can be defined as "magical realism". Extremely precise for her work and creativity, Nelly Tsenova is present in the homes and collections of fans from Bulgaria, France, USA, Turkey and others. She lives and works in Plovdiv.
