Rumen Malchev

Rumen Malchev was born in 1970 in Yambol, but grew up in the nearby village of Okop, Bulgaria. In 1989 he graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in Sofia, where he studied together with Rosen Rashev-Roshpaka and Radoslav Dimitrov-Badulia. He received a special scholarship for a special gift from the Union of Bulgarian Artists. He is the winner of the Young Artist Award at the "K Krastev" Gallery in Yambol. He has over ten solo exhibitions in Sofia and Yambol. He has also participated in joint exhibitions in Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna. His paintings are owned by private collections from Bulgaria, Germany, USA, France, England, Austria, Switzerland. He lives and works in Yambol.
