Ventsislav Markov was born on September 24, 1984 in Varna. In 2003 he graduated from the National Art School Dobri Hristov in Varna, and in 2010 got his master's degree at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, majoring in “Metal”. Ventsislav Markov has three sculpture exhibitions at Largo Art Gallery in 2010, 2011 and 2019, as well as solo exhibitions at Minerva Gallery, Sofia (2014), Classic Gallery, Sofia (2016), Hadwiger Collection, Vienna (2017) and others. He has participated in more than 50 prestigious exhibitions, some important of which are: National Sculpture Exhibition, UBA, Sofia (2006), participation in the 30th Congress of Medal Sculpture, Colorado, USA (2007), exhibition of the Sculpture Section, Shipka Street 6, Sofia (2009), 2nd and 3rd International Art Forum "Without Borders", Balchik (2009), etc. He has won numerous awards, including: First place in the Unique Contest, Varna (2008), Varna Award with the Evolution Association (2012), Sculpture Award at the TENETS National Biennale in Montana (2016), etc. Ventsislav Markov has over 20 participations in international workshops and is a member of the Skenderman Artistic Network. Since 2014 he is a member of UBA. In the period 2015 – 2018 he is the Chairman of the Association of Artists - Varna. He is one of the ten winners of the prize “Artist of the Decade 2008-2018 of Largo Art Gallery”. Ventsislav lives and works in Varna, Bulgaria.
