Yanko Nenov was born on July 13, in the village of Knyazhevo, Yambol region, Bulgaria. In 1980 he graduated from the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" with a degree in "Graphics:. He has more than 25 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad, some of which: "Lucas" Gallery, Plovdiv (1996), "Jin" Hotel, Hamamatsu, Japan (2001), Cultural Center, Hamamatsu, Japan (2001, 2007), Gallery "Artspectrum", Plovdiv (2008), "Diakov" Gallery, Plovdiv (2011, 2019, 2020), "Sredets" Gallery, Sofia (2014), City Art Gallery Plovdiv (2018) and others. He has participated in many international group exhibitions: "Del Bello" Gallery, Toronto, Canada (1987, 1989), an exhibition in Kansas, USA (1998. 2003), the only Bulgarian participation in the world painting "Portrait of the World", painted by 128 artists, organized by the Goethe Institute - Palermo, Italy. The exhibition was opened by Kofi Annan in 2008 at the UN headquarters - New York (2006). Winner of a number of awards: Honorary Diploma for Miniature at "Del Bello" Gallery - Toronto (1987, 1989), Plovdiv Award for Contribution to Fine Arts (1991, 2011), Award of the Plovdiv International Fair for author's calendar for 2013. of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (2013), Award for graphics from the National Exhibition "Graphics" - Stara Zagora (2020) and others. He lives and works in Plovdiv.
