Yavor Vitanov was born on May 17, 1957 in the village of Osen, Bulgaria. He graduated from the "Maxim Gorky" School in Sofia. He has been a member of the Association of Varna Artists since 1997. Works by Yavor Vitanov have been shown in almost all group exhibitions in Varna in the last 20 years. From 1990 until today Yavor has over 100 solo exhibitions in Varna, Burgas, Vratsa, Krivodol, etc. His paintings are in the possession of galleries and private collections at home and abroad - Russia, USA, the Netherlands, Greece and others. Works mainly in the field of oil painting. He lives and works in Varna.
