Nikolay Nyagolov was born on 02.11.1963 in the town of Lovech. In 1982 he graduated from the Artistic School of Applied Arts in the town of Troyan, specializingin "ceramics" and in 1988 graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Veliko Tarnovo University "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" with specialty "Engraving". There are more than 30 solo exhibitions in the most prestigious galleries in Sofia and Plovdiv, as well as in Berlin (1992, 1993), Vienna (1997), London (2000), Los Altos, USA (2001, 2006), Belmont, 2002), Palo Alto, USA (2004). Nyagolov has many participations in national and international exhibitions, especially those presenting the contemporary Bulgarian art abroad - "Cultural Bridge Germany-Bulgaria" in 1993, "Balkan Meeting" in Ohrid in 2000, "Bulgarian Artists" in St. Achilleos in Greece in 2003, "Contemporary Bulgarian Art" in Belmont, USA in 2006. His works are owned by private collectors in Bulgaria, USA, Germany, England, as well as several museums for fine arts in Bulgaria and abroad. Nikolay Nyagolov works in the field of painting, drawing and non-conventional forms in art. Since 1989 he has been a regular lecturer in drawing and combinatorics at the National High School of Performing Arts in Plovdiv. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the Society of Plovdiv Artists. He lives and works in Plovdiv.
